Art for Music

I create album art from scratch, from early concepts through digital painting to final prints. I also design logo, packaging and merchandise.

This page includes selected album and single covers as well as logotypes created for both independent artists and record companies. Each cover is designed for both print and digital distribution and final artwork has additional extra space for promotion purposes (posters, backdrops, merchandise etc).

Musicals Key Art

Priscilla – Queen of the Desert

Valp was commissioned to design key illustration promoting musical worldwide. The artwork was reproduced all over the London in March-April 2009 including buses, underground stations and street posters.

Priscilla won an incredible 4 What’s on Stage Awards 2010. We won Best New Musical, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical - Oliver Thornton, Best Set Designer - Brian Thomson and Best Choreographer - Ross Coleman, which was the biggest haul of the night. Congratulations to everyone involved with the show. They are the only theatre awards chosen by the public, so thank you everyone who voted for us.

Don Gallagher stars as Bernadette and is joined by heartthrob Ben Richards as Tick and handsome young leading man Oliver Thornton as Adam. Helping out when things threaten to get out-of-hand is Ray Meagher as Bob, the mechanic.

On stage, well there’s a £1m scene-stealing bus, 500 outrageous costumes from the movie’s Oscar®-winning designers Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner and 28 of the most glamorous and talented performers the West End can muster, performing dance-floor classics including I Will Survive, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Shake Your Groove Thing, Don’t Leave Me This Way and Finally.

Logotypes and Emblems

Logo is always important part of branding - no matter if it's used for long term artist promotion or just one particular album or gig, it needs to be unique and recognisable. Here are some of my designs.
